The Hopkins Business of Health Institute (HBHI) – a collaborative initiative of the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, the Bloomberg School of Public Health, the School of Nursing, and the School of Medicine – hosts an online seminar titled "Rationing Medical Resources in a Pandemic."

Moderated by Daniel Polsky, a Bloomberg Distinguished Professor of health policy and economics and director of HBHI, the seminar features presenter Tayfun Sönmez, professor of economics at Boston College, and discussant Allen Kachalia, senior vice president for patient safety and quality for Johns Hopkins Medicine and director of the Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety and Quality. Sönmez will present findings from his recent paper on triage protocol design for pandemic rationing. Following the presentation, Sönmez, Polsky, and Kachalia will discuss pressing questions facing medical professionals during the COVID-19 crisis.
