Lavender Celebration
Description
LGBTQ Life is proud to host its end-of-the year Lavender Celebration celebrating the accomplishments of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, asexual, and allied community at Johns Hopkins. Graduates are invited to pick someone who is special to them who will be able to give a short introduction about them to the community.
This year, the annual Lavender Celebration moves to a virtual format. LGBTQA graduates from all Johns Hopkins campuses, not just Homewood, are invited to register. Once graduates register, LGBTQ Life will reach out to their introducers to create an audio/video introduction for them. Graduates will receive a rainbow tassel and lavender cord by mail.
The video introductions will be presented at a Lavender Celebration watch party on May 3. The video will be provided only to participants in the event. Students who are not graduating are still invited to join the watch party upon registration.
