Description

The health and human security landscapes are constantly evolving. Globally, we are seeing new issues surrounding disease control, resource scarcity and insecurity, and frequent occurrences of natural disasters due to the impending climate crisis. In the security space, we are tackling new cyber threats connected to digitalization and seeing more instances of civil society violence spurred by terrorist and criminal groups' growing online presence. The challenges we face tomorrow are vast and will take concerted efforts across groups. The question is, are we prepared?

Join the School for Advanced International Studies Global Security and Conflict Management Club to discuss health and human security trends from a gender lens and hear from experienced field professionals on how gender has played a role in their work.

This event aims to open a dialogue about the importance of gendered perspectives in health and human security strategies as we encounter new threats and develop global responses in the next decade.
