Description
With COVID-19 now spreading via community transmission in the U.S. and the World Health Organization raising its risk assessment to "very high," the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health will host a 30-minute webcast featuring some of the best minds addressing this global health concern.
Experts include Jennifer Nuzzo and Tara Kirk Sell, senior scholars at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security, and Lauren Sauer, director of operations for the Johns Hopkins Office of Critical Event Preparedness and Response. The conversation will be moderated by Joshua Sharfstein, vice dean of the Bloomberg School and former secretary of Maryland's Department of Health.
Discussion topics include the findings of the Global Health Security Index referenced by President Trump last week, what you need to know about community transmission, and how to protect yourself from misinformation. Panelists will also answer viewer questions; you are invited to submit questions before and during the broadcast through the Q&A module on the right side of the livestream's video player.
