The Sexual Assault Resource Unit (SARU) and the Sigma Sigma Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. are co-hosting local author Kenneth Rogers, Jr., for an engaging lecture, book reading, and discussion about sexual assault, identity, self-care, and healing.
Rogers is an alum from the Johns Hopkins School of Education and the author of two incredible books: his memoir Raped Black Male and the self-help guide Heroes, Villains, and Healing: A Guide for Male Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse Using D.C. Comic Superheroes and Villains. Learn more about his books online. He is a member of the Speakers Bureau for RAINN (the Rape, Abuse, & Incest National Network) and has spoken on many panels about sexual abuse and the variation of healing processes.
