Description

Fadia T. Shaya, a professor of pharmaceutical health services research and director of informatics at the University of Maryland (Baltimore) School of Pharmacy and Institute for Clinical and Translational Research, will give a talk entitled "Another Recall? Data Science Applications for Medical Devices" as part of the Division of Health Sciences Informatics Grand Rounds.

In addition to her academic position, Shaya is a member of the Maryland-FDA Center for Excellence in Regulatory Science, the executive director of the Behavioral Health Research and Policy Program and Director of the Center on Drugs and Public Policy, an elected member of the Board of Directors at AcademyHealth, and serves on study sections at the National Institutes of Health and the Agency for Health Care Quality Research. She holds a Ph.D. from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
