Description

Hui Guan, a doctoral candidate of electrical and computer engineering at North Carolina State University, will give a talk entitled "Reuse-Centric Programming System Support of Machine Learning" for the Department of Computer Science.

Guan's research lies in the intersection between machine learning and programming systems, with a focus on improving machine learning (e.g., speed, scalability, reliability) through innovations in algorithms and programming systems (e.g., compilers, runtime), as well as leveraging machine learning to improve high-performance computing.
