Asko|Schoenberg Guest Concert

Description

The Peabody Institute will host Asko|Schoenberg, the leading Contemporary Music Ensemble of The Netherlands, for a two-day residency. The ensemble will present an exciting program of predominantly Dutch composers, showcasing the artistic diversity of one of world's leading centers of contemporary music. Some of these composers, like Louis Andriessen and Martijn Padding, are well-known and appreciated worldwide. Martijn Padding, awarded with the UNESCO prize 'International Rostrum of Composers', wrote a special overture for this occasion, Hello Peabody People, as a tribute to the local audience. Additionally, the musicians will hold workshops and master classes for the Peabody composition students.
