Hopkins Medicine Distinguished Speaker Series

Description

Dr. Peter Hotez, dean for the National School of Tropical Medicine at the Baylor College of Medicine, will give a talk entitled "Vaccines in an Age of Conflict, Global Instability, Climate Change, and Antiscience" as part of the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine Distinguished Speakers Series. A Q&A will follow the talk.

A light reception begins at 5:30 p.m. and the talk will begin at 6 p.m.

Dr. Hotez is one of the world's leading experts in the field of vaccine development for neglected tropical diseases. A physician-scientist by training, he is the author of more than 500 original research papers. He served as a Science Envoy for the U.S. State Department under the Obama administration, and has more recently become a leading voice from the scientific community engaging with vaccine skeptics.
