Description

Dr. Gregg Semenza, a Nobel Laureate and professor of Pediatrics and director of the vascular program at the Institute for Cell Engineering at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, will give a talk as part of the Hopkins Medicine Distinguished Speakers Series. Dr. Semenza was awarded the 2019 Nobel Prize in Medicine for his ground-breaking discovery of the HIF-1 protein, which controls genes in response to changes in oxygen availability. There will also be an opportunity for Q&A following the talk.

Doors will open at 5.30 p.m. for this evening of science, celebration, and learning with food and refreshments available.
