Description

Dr. Ralph Etienne-Cummings, a professor and chair of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Johns Hopkins, and Andrianna Ayiotis, Ph.D. candidate in Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins, will each give a talk for INSPIReD. Dr. Etienne-Cummings' talk title is to be determined, and Ayiotis' talk is entitled "Prosthetic Vestibular Nerve Stimulation Improves Quality of Life and Decreases Self-Reported Disability."

INSPIReD is a new organization supporting under-represented groups in STEM fields at Johns Hopkins. Our goals are to promote diversity and inclusion in the sciences, build a community of support on campus, provide mentorship and opportunities for URM (under-represented minority) researchers to present their science to the community, and invite distinguished URM scientists to campus to engage us with their stellar science as well as their personal experiences with diversity.

Pizza and drinks to follow.
