Description

Dr. Nuri Kim, a postdoctoral fellow of East Asian Studies at Johns Hopkins, will give a talk entitled "Who's Afraid of China? Contesting the Sino-Korean Border in History and Imagination" for the Aronson Center for International Studies and the International Studies Leadership Council as part of the International Studies Fall 2019 Speaker Series.

Kim studies the cultural, intellectual, and religious history of Korea, focusing on new religious movements, alternative knowledge, and fringe groups, as well as their relation with mainstream society and transnational trends.
