Description

Dr. Rucker C. Johnson, a professor of Public Policy at University of California, Berkeley, will give a talk about his new book Children of the Dream: Why School Integration Works for the 21st Century Cities Initiative.

The book uses a variety of data and longitudinal studies to show that, contrary to the popular narrative, school integration worked and benefited children of all racial backgrounds. At UC Berkeley, Dr. Johnson teaches courses in applied econometrics and topical courses in race, poverty, and inequality.

A reception with light refreshments will follow the talk.
