Description

The inaugural lecture of the Center for Safe and Healthy Schools, entitled "Navigating the Mental Health Landscape and Federal Funding Priorities," will explore the role of the Department of Justice in developing national policy around school safety and the way in which these priorities can impact barriers to school safety related to adolescent mental health.

Panelists include:

  • Kristen Mahoney, deputy director of the Bureau of Justice Assistance at the U.S. Department of Justice
  • Dr. Holly Wilcox, associate professor of Mental Health and of Health Policy and Management at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, affiliated faculty with the Center for Safe and Healthy Schools
  • Dr. Christopher Morphew, dean of the Johns Hopkins School of Education (moderator)
