Description
The National Association of Health Services Executives (NAHSE), Baltimore Chapter, will host its 2nd Annual Men's Forum with the theme "Redefining Men's Health: Becoming the Staple, Not the Statistic." NAHSE is a non-profit association of Black health care executives founded in 1968 for the purpose of promoting the advancement and development of Black health care leaders and elevating the quality of health care services rendered to minority and underserved communities.
NAHSE wants to help minority men and boys be healthier and strong. Studies show that minority men face many obstacles impacting their health. The objective of the Men's Forum is to provide a space where men can learn life-changing information, ask questions, and receive tools to be the staples of good health practices and not statistics of poor health. The forum will also point out the underlying factors contributing to minority men's health disparities and social determinants of health.
Attendees are members of the community, health care practitioners, health care leaders, fitness professionals, representatives from various minority health organizations, students, and NAHSE members.
This year's speakers include:
- Yannik Cudjoe-Virgil, retired football player for the Tennessee Titans
- Khalid A. McLeod (KAM), international speaker and health and fitness expert
- George Rice III, educator, coach, and speaker
