Description

Jim Traficant, managing director of federal health at Accenture Federal Services, will give a talk entitled "Health Care Transformation from the Outside In" as part of the Department of Radiology and Radiological Science's Leading Change: Perspectives from Outside of Medicine series.

Mr. Traficant's message will focus on disruptions to health care from non-traditional players like Amazon, JP Morgan, Berkshire, and Walmart as well as implications for traditional players like Johns Hopkins. The fundamental theme will explore: "How can innovation help drive Johns Hopkins to be the #1 system in the U.S.?"

The lecture will be followed by a Q&A session and will not be recorded in order to allow for an open exchange between the speaker and the audience.

The goal of the Leading Change: Perspectives from Outside of Medicine series is to help attendees think about ways to improve "the patient experience" at Johns Hopkins by learning from experts in other fields and disciplines. The lectures are open to all members of the Johns Hopkins community. This the final presentation until the autumn of 2019.
