Access to adequate health care and nutritional food, education, housing, and employment are a few elements that help people and communities thrive.
Panels of community leaders and health experts will gather to examine and discuss what success looks like for Baltimore neighbors and neighborhoods across the life course at the annual Social Determinants of Health Symposium hosted by the Johns Hopkins Urban Health Institute. The theme of the symposium is "Thriving! What Communities and People Need to Succeed."
The discussion will explore the current efforts being made in local communities and brainstorm solutions that can help communities and people go beyond surviving and focus on thriving.
