Description
Contemporary artist Don Joint celebrates the many figurines of German porcelain collected by the Evergreen museum's Garrett family in this special exhibition that juxtaposes objects from the museum's collection with the artist's own 68-foot glass mosaic. The intricate patterns of Joint's mosaic both honors and dissects the sprightly eighteenth- and nineteenth-century figurines produced by the Meissen company and other manufacturers, prompting visitors to reconsider these objects that are so often dismissed as kitsch.
Tours depart on the hour; last tour leaves at 3 p.m. The museum's operating hours are online.
