The informatics community is looking to FHIR-based apps to provide the usability current EHRs don't have. Dr. Iltifat Husain, editor-in-chief and founder of iMedicalApps.com and an assistant professor of Emergency Medicine at Wake Forest School of Medicine, will present a Division of Health Sciences Informatics Grand Rounds entitled "Lessons from Creating an Epic and Cerner SMART FHIR Clinical Decision: Support App Based on Validated Clinical Research."
