The Johns Hopkins English Department ELH Speaker Series presents a talk by Jennifer Scappettone, an associate professor of English at the University of Chicago, entitled, "From Pentecost to Babel: Wireless Imaginations in 20th-Century Poetry and the Dream (or Nightmare) of a Transnational Language." A copy of the pre-circulated paper will be available in 13 Gilman Hall one week before the talk.
