Description

Dan Mayeda, an Asian-American media activist, will give a talk entitled "Does Representation Matter?" about the portrayal of Asian Americans in the media and careers in the communications field, hosted by the Johns Hopkins University Advanced Academic Programs Office of Student Affairs and the Office of Multicultural Affairs.

Dan Mayeda is the associate director of the Documentary Film Legal Clinic at UCLA School of Law; a lawyer at Leopold, Petrich and Smith; and a longtime advocate for accurate and sensitive depictions of Asian Americans in the media.

Lunch will be provided. The event will also be live-streamed.
