Description

Dr. France Córdova, director of the National Science Foundation, will give the Robert Resnick Lecture titled "Thinking Big: Promoting the Progress of Science Through NSF's 10 Big Ideas" for the Department of Physics & Astronomy.

Designed to catalyze new scientific breakthroughs and address systemic gaps in the scientific enterprise, the 10 Big Ideas also sought to foster new partnerships among academia, private industry, non-profits, and other agencies. Dr. Córdova will discuss the implementation and progress of the 10 Big Ideas and how they seek to maintain U.S. global leadership in science and technology.
