Description

Please join the Jonathan A. Jarzyna Memorial No Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament during the Johns Hopkins Alumni Weekend, honoring Johns Hopkins alumnus Jon Jarzyna, KSAS '97, sponsored by fellow alumnus Matt Zaft, KSAS '97.

Prizes are:

  • First place: $750
  • Second place: $500,
  • Third place: $250
  • Fourth place: $100

Food and drink will also be provided to all participants.

Jon Jarzyna passed away in 2011 from an undiagnosed heart condition just shy of his 38th birthday. After his wife and friends, two of Jon's biggest loves were animals and playing poker. To honor him and keep his memory alive, seven years ago, his friend and classmate Matt Zaft began sponsoring the annual tournament.

Tickets

Tournament buy-in is $100 for alumni, faculty, and staff and $20 for undergrads.

100% of the entry fees go to the local MSPCA as a donation in Jon’s memory.
