Description
The Korean Scientists and Engineers Association is screening the 90-minute documentary called How to Survive a Plague about the public's active outcry for the government to act against the AIDS crisis. The film argues that anger made a difference in funding for research and drugs and helped raise the profile and acceptance of the LGBT community in America.
There is a suggested donation of $5. Proceeds from the screening will be donated to the nonprofit research organization American Foundation for AIDS Research, which promotes research towards a cure for AIDS by providing grants to research teams worldwide.
