Dr. Charmaine Chua, an assistant professor of Politics at Oberlin College, will give a talk entitled "The Slow Life of Just-in-Time Delivery: Racialized Geographies in Transnational Seafaring." This talk is hosted by the Program in Racism, Immigration, and Citizenship and meets the following thematic foci of the Arrighi Center for Global Studies: 1) continuity and change in the dynamics of global capitalism and 2) land, labor, environmental rights, and struggles.
