Description

The Biology Department will be hosting the 2019 Thomas Hunt Morgan Lecture given by Dr. Christiane Nüsslein-Volhard, director and scientific Member at the Max Planck Institute of Developmental Biology, entitled "The Stripes of Zebrafish: Development and Evolution of Animal Beauty."

Dr. Christiane Nüsslein-Volhard was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1995 for her discoveries involving maternal effect genetics.

This lecture is part of the Pioneers in Biology lecture series and is presented by the Department of Biology graduate students. A reception in the Mudd Hall Atrium will follow the lecture.
