Description

Learn about the major quality concerns in public health and health care related to improving diagnosis, and network with patient safety and quality champions across the health system at the third annual Armstrong Institute Diagnostic Excellence Summit. This year's summit theme is "Improving Diagnostic Performance Through Innovative Educational Strategies."

Dr. Carla Pugh, professor of surgery and director of the Technology Enabled Clinical Improvement Center at Stanford University, will present the keynote.

The Summit includes educational courses focused on:

  • Haptic feedback to improve hands-on clinical skills
  • Virtual patients to improve clinical reasoning and physical exam skills
  • The electronic health record as an educational tool for diagnosis
  • Assessing physical exam and communication skills
