Description

The United States has never been at war for so long while simultaneously having so few who wear a uniform. The "civil-military gap" is largely a situation of two divisions in society who have mutual regard but who don't really know each other.

Join the School of Advanced International Studies for this timely discussion that aims to start the conversation on military service, lend structure and context to the dialogue on civil-military relations, and help explore the impact of the last eighteen years of war.

Theater of War is an innovative public health project that presents readings of ancient Greek plays as a catalyst for town-hall discussions about the challenges faced by service members, veterans, and their caregivers and families today. The performance of Sophocles' Ajax will be followed by community panelist remarks and a facilitated town-hall discussion.
