Dr. Celeste Chavis, associate professor of Transportation and Urban Infrastructure Studies at Morgan State University, will give a talk entitled "Food Deserts: A Transportation Analysis of the Disparity in Grocery Store Access in Baltimore City" for the Department of Civil Engineering.

This talk showcases the results of a food acquisition survey questionnaire that analyzed the travel patterns of 500 residents in Baltimore City in relation to access to grocery stores.
