Description

The graduate students of the Department of Comparative Thought and Literature are pleased to announce their biennial conference: "Ways of Reading: Beyond, Beneath and Beside Theory."

The conference will feature the following keynote presentations:

  • Heather Love, University of Pennsylvania, "Care, Concern, and the Ethics of Description" (Feb. 22 at 4 p.m. in Gilman 50)
  • Bernie Rhie, Williams College, "Zen and the Art of Reading: Buddhism, Critique, and Contemplative Education" (Feb. 23 at 4:15pm in Hodson 311)

All events will be held in Hodson Hall 311 with the exception of Heather Love's keynote speech.
