Description

The Film and Media Studies Program at Johns Hopkins University is proud to present award-winning cinematographer Bradford Young as part of the 2018-19 Visiting Artist Series, sponsored by the Saul Zaentz Charitable Foundation. There will be a Q&A after Young's presentation, moderated by Elissa Blount-Moorhead.

Young is most well-known for his work on Selma, Arrival, Solo: A Star Wars Story, and A Most Violent Year. He has twice won the Best Cinematography award at the Sundance Film Festival. He is the first African American cinematographer to be nominated for the Academy Award for best cinematography (Arrival).
