Description

Learn about a magical land of jaw-dropping beauty where students spend a month creating art in the west of Ireland as part of the "Photographing the Burren: A Month in Ireland" study abroad seminar in painting, drawing, or digital photography.

Students stay in an Irish cottage in the village of Ballyvaughn, where evenings are filled with music, poetry, and storytelling.

Students will photograph or draw abandoned ruins in the countryside, tramp along windswept lanes on a Gaelic speaking island with its famous shipwreck, meet renowned Irish artists, and experience the delights of Galway and Dublin.

The trip is May 25-June 22 and is worth 6 humanities credits. The application deadline is March 1.
