Kayhan Kalhor is a creative force in today's music scene and has been instrumental in popularizing Persian music around the world. An internationally acclaimed virtuoso on the Kamancheh, or spiked fiddle, his performances of traditional Persian music has attracted audiences around the globe. Kalhor has also composed works for many world class musicians and classical groups such as the renowned Persian classical music ensemble Dastan and for Yo-Yo Ma's Silk Road Ensemble.
