Description

Dr. Richard Schreiber, the associate chief medical informatics officer for the Geisinger Health System, and chief medical informatics officer at Geisinger Holy Spirit, will give present "What is the Role of the Clinical Informaticist?" as part of the Division of Health Sciences Informatics Grand Rounds.

Learning objectives:

  1. Express the role of the clinical informaticist in the governance and operations of health care information technology.
  2. Enumerate the advantages of including clinical informatics in health care information technology.
  3. Describe Geisinger's approach and success including a non-programmer/non-analyst clinician among computer experts in clinical decision support.
