Description
Soldier, statesman, patriot, planter, slaveholder: George Washington's legacy has evolved with time. This traveling exhibition on loan from the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History and the Mount Vernon Ladies' Association (supplemented with objects from Johns Hopkins University collections and regional history museums) reveals the complicated man behind the myth.
Please see the Homewood Museum website for information about hours, tours, and more.
