Description

What is the open science movement and what does it mean for researchers? This workshop explores the growing importance of open science and the issues surrounding making research and data open. Discussions will explore definitions, strategies, barriers, and incentives to open research and will examine tools that assist users in working in a transparent and reproducible manner.

Instructors will demo the Open Science Framework (OSF), a free, open source, online research project management platform for managing multiple projects and collaborating or sharing with other researchers. Instructors will discuss ways to use the OSF to join the open science movement.
