Michael Szonyi, a professor of Chinese History and director of the Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies at Harvard University, will be giving a talk entitled "How to Dodge the Draft and Succeed as a Pirate in the Ming Dynasty: Everyday Politics in Late Imperial China."
