Was the United States ever good at national security policy? Kori Schake, deputy director-general of the International Institute for Strategic Studies, will address this topic during the 2018 Bernstein Lecture.

The Alvin H. Bernstein Annual Lecture has as its organizing theme the intersection of history and national security policy in keeping with the example and interests of Alvin H. Bernstein, a distinguished ancient historian and lecturer at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
