Description
It's an evening of epic goofs when The Stoop presents seven tales about how we misjudge, misconstrue, and misinterpret ourselves, each other, and the world.
Getting It Wrong: Stories about Mix-ups, Mistakes, and Misunderstandings is presented in partnership with Story Detective, a workshop where "Aha!" happens, and funded by the Johns Hopkins Idea Lab. Story Detective is bringing StoryCorps to Baltimore this December.
Storytellers:
- Jacob Atem, former "Lost Boy," postdoc fellow, humanitarian health activist
- Sam Sessa, Baltimore music coordinator and producer for WTMD
- Petula Caesar, writer and producer
- Christine Sajecki, artist
- Alice Sturm, landscape designer
- Michael Molina, teacher
- Sarah Sullivan, owner of Mobtown Ballroom
Cocktails and live music from J Pope and the HearNow begin at 7 p.m., and the show begins at 8 p.m. All tickets are general admission, and there is open seating.
