Description
The panel-style science policy town hall provides the opportunity to engage with faculty experts on critical science policy issues ahead of the midterm elections. Topics and speakers include:
- women's health and reproductive rights, led by Diane Horvath-Cosper, director of Whole Women's Health of Baltimore
- climate change, led by Tom Burke, former science advisor and deputy assistant administrator for research and development for the Environmental Protection Agency
- the opioid crisis, led by Travis Rieder, assistant director for education initiatives, director of the Master of Bioethics degree program, and research scholar at the Johns Hopkins Berman Institute of Bioethics
Attendees are welcome to ask questions and provide comments on these and other important science policy issues. Food will be provided. The panel is sponsored by the Johns Hopkins Science Policy Group.
