DLC Diversity and Inclusion Conference
Description
Join the Diversity Leadership Council for a full day of programming on diversity and inclusion topics. The event will open with registration check-in at 7:30 a.m. and will officially begin with a plenary session at 8:30 a.m., followed by two workshop sessions, a keynote lunch, and a final breakout session of workshops. The event will conclude at 4:15 p.m.
Plenary session: A moderated conversation with Howard Ross, a lifelong social justice advocate and author of Our Search for Belonging: How Our Need to Connect Is Tearing Us Apart, and Johnnetta Betsch Cole, anthropologist and past president of both Spelman College and Bennett College. The conversation will be moderated by broadcast journalist Renee Chenault-Fattah.
Keynote session: In this luncheon roundtable discussion, JHU deans will share both best and future practices in executing the Roadmap on Diversity and Inclusion. They will engage in a dialogue that is authentic to both their individual leadership styles as well as overall strategy for their schools. The conversation will be moderated by JHU President Ronald J. Daniels.
