Indigenous People's Day Celebration: Noon-Day Pow Wow
Description
The Pow Wow, part of the Indigenous People's Day Celebration, will feature drummers, singers, dancers, and music from local and regional tribes.
Indigenous Peoples Day reimagines Columbus Day and changes a celebration of colonialism into an opportunity to reveal historical truths about the oppression of indigenous peoples in the Americas, to organize against current injustices, and to celebrate indigenous resistance. The event is presented by the Indigenous Students at Hopkins, the Office of Multicultural Affairs, and the Center for Diversity and Inclusion.
In the event of rain, the celebration will be moved to Levering's Great Hall.
