Description

In the wake of the 2015 death of Freddie Gray in police custody, Baltimore was a city on the edge. The subsequent uprisings reflected the deep divisions between authorities and the community, and underscored the urgent need for reconciliation. Join us for a screening of Baltimore Rising and a panel discussion with community leaders. Speakers include Samuel T. Redd (executive director, Operation PULSE), Lt. Col. Melvin T. Russell (chief of the community partnership division, Baltimore Police Department), and Anisha Thomas (Safe Streets & Baltimore City Health Department). Dinner will be provided and RSVP is required.

Sponsored by the Student Outreach Resource Center and the School of Nursing.
