Description
Matthew Kahn, a leading educator in the field of environmental economics, gives a talk on climate change and its disproportionate effects on urban neighborhoods titled "Neighborhood Quality of Life Dynamics During Extreme Heat: Implications for the Distributional Effects of Climate Change."
Kahn is a professor of economics, spatial sciences and environmental studies at the University of Southern California. He will be joined in discussion by Filipe Campante, a Johns Hopkins associate professor of economics; and Andy Cherlin, a Johns Hopkins professor of sociology and public policy. In advance of the workshop, the paper Kahn will be discussing will be circulated to those that have RSVP'd.
