Join the second annual Disability Health Equity Research Network (DHERN) conference with the theme "Moving Disability Measurement Forward" featuring a keynote presentation from Robert Santos, the director of the U.S. Census Bureau.

Panel discussions and speakers include:

"Measuring Disability" with Jean Hall, director of the University of Kansas Institute for Health and Disability Policy Studies, and Sue Popkin, co-director if the Disability Equity Policy Initiative at the Urban Institute
"Insight on The U.S. Disability Data Interagency Working Group," featuring invited speakers from the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, Office of Management and Budget, and Administration for Community Living
"Defining Disability as a Demographic" with Mary Lou Breslin Senior, policy advisor of DREDF; Silvia Yee, public policy director of DREDF; Bonnielin Swenor, professor and director of the Johns Hopkins Disability Health Research Center; and Scott Landes, associate professor at Syracuse University

DHERN is an international research network co-lead by the Johns Hopkins Disability Health Research Center that aims to advance the field of disability health equity research, connect researchers and trainees in this area, and foster the inclusion of disabled people in these efforts.

This event is co-sponsored by the Johns Hopkins Disability Health Research Center, the Syracuse University Aging Studies Institute and the Syracuse University Center for Aging and Policy Studies.
