Computerworld has released its 2024 ranking of the top 100 work environments for technology professionals, and IT@JH and the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory are two of the top large organizations named to its list.
IT@JH (appearing on the list as Johns Hopkins Medicine) was ranked No. 19 among 61 large organizations. In the IT Growth category, IT@JH ranked No. 2 out of the top 10, and No. 5 out of the top 10 in Employee Engagement.
APL ranked No. 23 among the 61 large organizations and No. 5 in the Growth category.

The list is compiled based on a comprehensive questionnaire across six categories: diversity, equity, and inclusion practices; IT turnover, promotions, and growth; IT retention and engagement programs; remote/hybrid work; benefits and perks; and training and career development opportunities. In addition to receiving scores based on answers to closed-ended questions, the survey entries (including numerous open-ended responses) were reviewed and evaluated by a panel of industry experts.
