For the past 10 years, Johns Hopkins' Office of East Baltimore Community Affairs has hosted an annual Holiday Gift Giving event to make the season brighter for children in need.
This year, six trusted community organizations have provided EBCA with an Amazon Wish List or Target link that will allow Johns Hopkins employees to purchase toys, clothing, or shoes for children in East Baltimore who are associated with their organization. You can share the gift of generosity by making a purchase for a child in need by going to the Gift Giving website or directly from the links below.
This year's participating organizations and their wishes are:
- The MIX Church
- Douglass Homes
- The Rich Foundation
- The Men and Families Center
- Green & Healthy Homes Initiative
- Roberta's House, which requests monetary donations (see below for instructions)
If it is more convenient to make a financial donation, checks and money orders can be made payable to JHHS—East Baltimore Community Affairs (Attn: Sherry Fluke) and mailed to 1101 E. 33rd St., #B301, Baltimore, MD 21218. One hundred percent of the funds will go directly to the organizations to purchase gifts for families. Financial donations should be submitted and gifts purchased by Thursday, Dec. 22.
