Save the dates for the 2022 Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration

Two-part event begins with a keynote speech by acclaimed author Isabel Wilkerson

The Johns Hopkins Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration is marking its 40th year with the theme Engage, Empower, Evolve: Pathways to the Dream. Get ready for two events:

On Jan. 11, Isabel Wilkerson, winner of the Pulitzer Prize and the National Humanities Medal and author of the critically acclaimed New York Times bestsellers The Warmth of Other Suns and Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents, will present the keynote speech. She will then join Sherita Golden, Johns Hopkins Medicine vice president and chief diversity officer, for a fireside chat about Caste.

The commemoration will close on Jan. 14 with the annual MLK Jr. Community Service Awards ceremony.
