Computerworld has released its 2021 ranking of the top 100 work environments for technology professionals, and the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory and IT@JH are among the large organizations named to its list of Best Places to Work in IT.
APL ranked No. 10 overall among large firms and came in at No. 1 for training and No. 10 for benefits. IT@JH (appearing on the list as Johns Hopkins Medicine) was ranked No. 40 among large organizations.
Selection is judged on the quality and excellence of the workplace. The list is compiled based on a comprehensive questionnaire regarding company offerings in categories such as benefits, career development, training, retention, and diversity and inclusion. In addition, Computerworld conducts extensive surveys of each company's own IT workers, and those responses factor heavily in determining the rankings.
