IT@JH has announced that Johns Hopkins is transitioning away from the Skype for Business tool and that it will be migrating all users to Microsoft Teams over the summer. Teams will replace all Skype functionality, including Instant Messaging.
The first group of employees, composed of Skype phone users, will be migrated in mid-July.
To ease the transition, IT@JH is providing:
- A series of online live events (including a 30-minute Microsoft Teams Quick Start event)
- Training videos
- FAQ
Even those employees who are already familiar with Microsoft Teams are encouraged to take advantage of one or more of the training events or videos on SkypeMigration.jh.edu that have been developed to assist with this transition and to consider joining the Skype to Teams Migration group on Teams.
Answers to frequently asked questions and information about all Microsoft tools are available on the Office 365 at Johns Hopkins webpage.
Questions not answered there can be emailed, along with any feedback, to Skype2Teams@jh.edu.
